Works very well on my 3g. I've even scanned wine and it found it. Very good app.

Well I bought this recently, does it work at reading codes. Yes, very well. The question is does it have the item in its database. Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. If not it often searches Google and Amazon for the item.

I have found it useful for assembling lists, but not really for on-the-spot price comparasion. Your milage may vary.

I've been tempted by this, but all the reviews say it doesn't work with the first gen. I wish there was a way of telling whether this would work or not before I buy it.
