frenriq, sounds like Evernote is a better solution than Dropbox for what you're using (text notes and such). It's also multi-platform including iPhone and free.
I love Dropbox... I've maxed out my referrals and become a dropbox guru, giving me 5.25gb of space for free.
I use it to share large files (via the public folder) and collaborate with co-workers (via a shared folder) more than anything else. Much easier than emailing videos back and forth.

I don't understand why people rave about Dropbox. $10/mo for 50G of space. SugarSync was around long before DropBox and is cheaper, that same $10/mo gets you 60G, or $100 for the whole year.

I love how fast dropbox is and how easy it is to sync files. It keeps everything I own together, and it means I no longer have the problem of forgetting my USB stick. :)

Jamieknight: The iPhone Dropbox app does download the file to your phone for offline access if you make it a favourite by clicking on the star at the bottom of the screen.

I have been using Dropbox more and more, it has a wide variety of uses. But it would be really handy to be able to email stuff to it. Right now, if I find a website I want to capture, I have to highlight the text, copy and paste it into Textedit and then save it into my Dropbox. It would be alot faster to just email it straight away.
But it has been really handy for me. Combined with LogMeIn, I've been able to grab anything I need/want from my home computer and access it from the road.

It needs the ability to download the files you store in dropbox and save them to the iphone or ipod touch. if your not connected to the internet the app is useless.

I can't believe I forgot about Dropbox. I picked this up the night it came out and I use it everyday. My Dropbox folder has essentially becoming my Documents folder so I can carry everything I am working on at any given time with me.

Love dropbox.
All my important documents are there so I have access to them wherever I go, whatever computer I use, as long as it has internet.
Was so glad to see it make its way to the iphone!
I was on a friend's computer, downloaded some music, put it on dropbox, and was able to listen to it while walking back to my place off of my iphone, streamed from dropbox.
No syncing was required!

Was psyched to see Dropbox have a native app. Although, to be honest, I found it worked just as well to use Good Reader's web download option logged into the Dropbox mobile page. Reading PDFs with the built-in PDF reader is painful after using Good Reader ( http://bit.ly/p3ed2 ). I wish they would partner up somehow...like TextExpander has with WriteRoom...

Got Dropbox a couple of weeks ago and though I haven't got to use it much, so far it seems pretty promising.
